E komo mai — welcome to Naval Health Clinic Hawaii, where your health and readiness are the focus. NHCH is composed of two large clinics: Makalapa at Pearl Harbor Naval Base and Kaneohe Bay at MCB Hawaii. Other smaller clinics are at Camp H.M. Smith, Wahiawa and Barking Sands on the island of Kauai.

The headquarters for NHCH resides in Building 1750 at 480 Central Ave. adjacent to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Preventive Medicine, Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health Services are provided at this site, also known as the Shipyard Clinic. For more information, visit

Welcoming Center

Medical care at NHCH begins with the Welcoming Center, where active-duty members, family members and retired TRICARE Prime beneficiaries begin a one-stop check-in process to enroll to NHCH for care. Staff will assist with TRICARE enrollment, medical record updating, primary care manager assignment and initial appointments. Active-duty members complete the Periodic Health Assessment, part of the Individual Medical Readiness process. TRICARErepresentatives and Health Benefits Advisors are available to answer TRICARE and enrollment questions. During the check-in process, information about resources, including TRICARE Online, the Exceptional Family Member Program and advance directives, is provided.

Bring ID cards, Social Security numbers, medical records, dental records (if active duty) and immunization records when you check in at the Kaneohe Bay Branch Health Clinic. For more information, call 808-257-3365, ext. 251/250.

Kaneohe Bay Branch Health Clinic

The Kaneohe Bay Branch Health Clinic is on MCB Hawaii in Building 3089, off D Street. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Services include family practice, military medicine, pediatrics, optometry, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, preventive medicine, occupational health, aviation medicine, dermatology, mental health and deployment health. Physical therapy and sports medicine services are provided in Building 221. For more information, call 808-257-3365.

Immunizations Clinic

Hours: 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday; 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday
(Note: No PPD test Thursday.)
Yellow Fever Administration (with appointment): 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday
Allergy Shots: 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday (walk-in only).
To allow time to complete paperwork, beneficiaries should arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.

Only X-ray services are provided. Ultrasound and mammogram services are available at Makalapa Clinic. CT, MRI and specialized X-ray services are available at Tripler Army Medical Center.

NHCH After-Hours Provider Advice Line: To reach a medical provider when the clinics are closed call 808-473-0247, ext. 3. You will speak with an answering service that will contact an after-hours provider. A provider will return your call within the hour.

Dental Services

21st Dental Company

The 21st Dental Company Dental Clinic, MCB Hawaii is on the second floor of the Kaneohe Bay BHC. Hours are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information or an appointment, call 808-257-3100. For dental emergencies after hours and on weekends, call 808-630-8328.

TRICARE Dental Program

Information about the TRICARE Dental Program is available from MetLife at or 800-638-5433. The TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan is a dental insurance plan for family members of active-duty military to receive dental care with civilian dentists. Active-duty military are encouraged to enroll their family members in the TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan, otherwise they should be prepared to pay 100 percent of family members’ dental costs in the civilian community.
