Driver’s Licenses

Georgia driver’s licenses are issued at the Albany office of the Department of Driver Services at 2062 Newton Road, 1 mile north of the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and its statewide call center can be reached toll free at 866-754-3687 from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Employment Services

Employment services are available at the Georgia Department of Labor at 1608 South Slappey Blvd.

Voting

Newcomers who wish to vote as Georgia residents may register on the second floor of the Governmental Building at 222 Pine Ave., Room 220, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Citizens may also register to vote at any public library, or at one of Albany State University’s libraries. Residents must be registered 30 days prior to any election to vote in that election.
