Base regulations

Base regulations

Traffic — Idaho state traffic laws apply on Mountain Home AFB. Seat belts are mandatory. Car seats are required for children under 40 lbs and under the age of 4.

Motorcycles — Helmets and reflective vests are required, along with a valid license and the required (expanded) safety training to operate a motorcycle on base.

Vehicle Checks — All vehicles entering or leaving Mountain Home AFB are subject to search.

Speed Limit — The speed limit on base is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.

ID Cards — Military and Civilian ID cards are obtained through the Military Personnel Flight, Customer Service area. Bring your old ID card if needing a replacement. If you are newly married, you need a copy of the marriage certificate.

Cell phones — Hand held cell phone use is strictly prohibited while driving. Use of cell phones with hands free capability can be used.
