Christmas Tree Lighting
Come see the lighting of Maine Street’s Christmas tree each December in Fallon. The event also features cookies and hot chocolate, carolers and Santa Claus himself.
Enjoy a cornucopia of fall events at Lattin Farms’ Fall Festival in September and October. The pumpkin patch, Scarecrow Factory, craft market and hay rides are sure to please festivalgoers of all ages. And don’t get lost in the farm’s famous corn maze!
Fallon Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair
The festival and country fair have merged to present one exciting event. Usually held at the Churchill County Fairgrounds on Labor Day weekend, this event celebrates the region’s agriculture, particularly the Hearts of Gold cantaloupe. Event activities include live entertainment, fair exhibits, a parade, a junior rodeo, a farmers market and more.
Each August, Fallon Fights continues the tradition of boxing in rural Nevada. These epic outdoor battles under the stars are held in August at the Churchill County Fairgrounds.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Bonfire
The name says it all. The city of Fallon has continued this tradition every year since 2000 at dusk on New Year’s Eve. Held at the Churchill County Fairgrounds.
No Hill Hundred Century Bike Tour
Held the first Saturday of October, this annual event takes riders on 30-mile, 60-mile or 100-mile tours of Nevada’s “desert oasis.” True to its name, the ride has no hills, so bike riders of all skill levels can participate.
Held in June at the Churchill County Fairgrounds, Top Gun Raceway and Rattlesnake Raceway, Octane Fest combines dirt track racing, drag racing, freestyle motocross and monster trucks into one thrilling event.
Spring Wings Bird Festival
This May event celebrates birding in Fallon, the Lahontan Valley Wetlands and the Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge. The festival offers tours, exhibits, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Tractors & Truffles
Celebrate Fallon’s small-farm agriculture and arts with Tractors & Truffles. This September event features farm tours, wine tasting, gourmet dining and live entertainment.
World Championship Cowboy Fast Draw
Competitors vie for the title of “fastest gun alive” in October at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. The event includes Civil War re-enactors, cowboy mounted shooting, gunfight re-enactments, a car show and live music. There are more than 40 food, clothing and arts and crafts vendors, as well.
