The state division of public health works to protect and improve the health and well-being of all Nevadans. The organization offers a variety of services by public health professionals to assure that water is safe, children have their immunizations, restaurants are safe and birth certificates are correct — to name just a few.

The division’s main office is in Carson City, with community health nursing clinics throughout Nevada’s rural counties. More than 1,800 employees serve in the division’s four branches: Administrative Services, Clinical Services, Community Services, and Regulatory and Planning Services. The division’s website has information on health topics, services available and a listing of local community health nursing clinics.

Local clinics offer a variety of services, including communicable disease services, family planning, immunizations, STD counseling and testing, well-child services and cancer screening. Services can vary by location. For a list of clinics, visit https://tinyurl.com/y7fnl3yl.

Churchill County has one local clinic.
