Navy College Office

The Navy College at NAS Fallon is part of a network of education professionals providing counseling and advisement to Navy members worldwide. Whether you are brushing up with college refresher courses or looking ahead to a doctoral program, the Navy College Office can help you meet educational goals.

Tuition assistance is available only to active-duty members, but additional information on financial aid resources is available to all.

The Navy College Office offers college credit by examination program options through the Defense Activity for Nontraditional Support and can provide proctoring services for those enrolled in e-learning programs.

In addition, the Navy College Office can provide information on the Navy College Distance Learning Partnership program. Through the NCDLP program, Sailors can earn rating-related degrees through many partnership institutions.

Western Nevada College and Vincennes University offer on-base higher education opportunities.


Child Development Center
1001 Juniper Drive

The Child Development Center offers full-time care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. The center provides a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the social, cognitive, language and physical development of youngsters. All staff members receive ongoing training.

Children of active-duty military personnel, DOD civilian personnel, reservists on active duty and DOD contractors are eligible. Fees are based on total family income.

Child Development Homes
1001 Juniper Drive

Child Development Homes provide an alternative to child development center care for families that need evening, weekend and hourly care. Providers, who are located in on-base government housing and off-base civilian housing, are well-trained and subject to the same high-quality standards of the child development centers.

The program also offers an opportunity for spouses to contribute to the family income while caring for their own children.

Exceptional Family Member Program

This program provides special-needs families with information and referral services. The school liaison officer coordinates services for the Exceptional Family Member Program.

Fleet and Family Support Center
Building 309

The Fleet and Family Support Center helps military families enhance their readiness and quality of life. The center provides relocation assistance, new parent support, deployment services, clinical counseling services, financial management counseling, family employment services, family advocacy and transition assistance programs.

School Liaison
Building 1008

The school liaison officer is the connection between NAS Fallon families and private and public schools. The office provides support to service members during all stages of transition and deployment to ensure children receive every opportunity available for quality education.

Youth Activities Center
Building 1003

The Youth Activities Center offers before- and after-school care for kindergarten through sixth-grade children enrolled in Churchill County School District as well as enrichment for youth who are home schooled. The DOD-certified recreation program centers on academic, social and athletic activities to enhance the lives of school-age children. In addition to before- and after-school care, there are winter and summer camps, field trips, teen programming and taekwondo classes. Weekly fees are based on family income.

NAS Fallon Legal Office is a Regional Legal Service Office. Powers of attorney and notaries are provided on a walk-in basis, but wills are by appointment only. Since NAS Fallon does not have a full-service Navy Legal Service Office, NLSO Lemoore provides legal assistance via teleconference.

The Desert Springs Indoor Pool offers year-round aquatic activities that include water aerobics, a swim club and swim lessons.

Auto Skills Center
Building 393

The Auto Skills Center, available for self-help automotive projects, has four bays with two lifts and two open stalls. Products and tools are available as well as instruction and assistance for novices. Basic services are also available including oil changes; tire mounting, rotation and balancing; cooling system flushes; and minor repairs.

Desert Moon Theater

Fitness Center

The Warrior Physical Training Facility has a free-weight room, one basketball court, two racquetball courts, men’s and women’s locker rooms with saunas, and a sports gear issue facility. Intramural sports such as softball, football, basketball and volleyball are offered. Upstairs there is a variety of cardio equipment, boxing bags and mats.

A 4,000-square-foot weight room filled with free weights and Hammer Strength and cardio equipment is in the MWR complex next to the gym.

Golf Driving Range
Third Street, next to RV park

A 250-yard, six-space golf driving range is located north of Outdoor Recreation, and rental clubs are available. To book your tee time online, visit the range’s website.

Liberty Center

The Liberty Center offers a place for single E-1 through E-6 and geo-bachelor personnel to relax. Enjoy a computer room, wireless internet access, pool tables, gaming stations, air hockey, football and a cafe.

Outdoor Recreation
Building 308

Community Recreation Outdoor Gear Rentals offers a variety of outdoor recreation rental equipment, including camping gear, mountain bikes, golf clubs, snowboards, skis, camping trailers, boats and canoes. The center also provides maps and brochures for local-interest sites, as well as information on personal storage units, RV space reservations, the driving range and the paintball park.

Sagebrush Bowling Center

Strike up some family fun at the bowling center. Pool tables, big-screen TVs and Kingpin Pizzeria are also available.

Find information and get military discount tickets for area attractions, including Wild Island Water Park in Reno, the Churchill Arts Council annual concert season and the Lahontan Rattlesnake Raceway.
