Those Personnel who have firearms in their armories or Navy Housing at Naval Station Mayport must register firearms with the Security Department Pass ID office in Building 1983. When removing weapons from the installation for hunting or target practice, the Security Department must be notified. Weapons, which can include firearms, air guns, metallic knuckles, knives that extend to over six inches when opened, bows and arrows or anything else that can be considered a dangerous weapon are prohibited. Personnel arriving at NAS Jacksonville must register firearms with the Pass and ID Office during normal business hours. Firearms for permanent storage are kept in the armory. The use of air rifles, bows and arrows and other items that can endanger others are prohibited.
