For Veterans
Veterans in Kings and Fresno counties are served within Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 — the Sierra Pacific Network, with the nearest major medical center in Fresno, less than 45 minutes from NAS Lemoore. VISN 21 serves veterans with seven medical centers, nine co-located community living centers and 41 community outpatient clinics located throughout California, Nevada, Hawaii, the Philippines and U.S. territories in the Pacific Basin.

The VACCHCS is a 57-bed acute care, general medical and surgical center with state-of-the-art primary, secondary and tertiary care in major diagnostic and treatment specializations. In addition, a 54-bed community living center is on campus and provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation care. VACCHCS has 40,000 veterans enrolled for health care eligibility and serves more than 28,000 veterans in six counties in California’s San Joaquin Valley, including Kings and Fresno counties.
