Naval Sea Cadet Corps

Naval Sea Cadet Corps

Our mission, through organization and cooperation with the Department of the Navy, is to encourage and aid American youth to develop, to train them in seagoing skills, and to teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance and kindred virtues.

Since 1958, the Naval Sea Cadet Corps has been committed to providing American youth with a drug- and alcohol-free environment to foster their leadership abilities, to broaden their horizons through hands-on training, and to guide them to becoming mature young adults. In teaching cadets about rich naval traditions and the Navy core values of honor, courage and commitment, the Sea Cadet Corps is laying the foundation for productive and responsible citizens. Has your preteen ever asked, “What does dad or mom do in the service?”
