Commander Airborne Command Control and Logistics
The mission of Commander, Airborne Command Control and Logistics Wing is to deliver dominant airborne command and control from the sea base as well as provide the timely, persistent logistics support our nation demands any place in the world. To carry out this mission, the wing is responsible for managing 10 operational E-2C Hawkeye early warning and control aircraft squadrons, two C-2A Greyhound logistics squadrons, an FRS training squadron and Reserve squadrons.
These 14 E-2C and C-2A squadrons operate out of Naval Base Ventura County; Naval Station Norfolk; Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego; Naval Air Facility Atsugi in Japan; Naval Reserve Base New Orleans; and off the flight deck of every aircraft carrier around the world.
There are four E-2C Hawkeye early warning and control squadrons at Point Mugu. Their mission is to provide battlespace command, control and coordination for their assigned carrier air wings and nuclear aircraft carriers serving with the Pacific Fleet. The four carrier airborne early warning squadrons stationed at Point Mugu include VAW-112, VAW-113, VAW-116 and VAW-117.
