CHECKING IN

Incoming personnel should email the command sponsor coordinator at sponsor.tpunorfolk@navy.mil before arrival. Provide your leave address, travel itinerary and other pertinent information to aid your sponsor in welcoming you aboard.

If you are unsure of where you should check in for your new command, call the Transient Personnel Unit quarterdeck for directions and guidance as to proper check-in procedures. The Transient Personnel Unit is in Building J-50 at 1683 Gilbert St. It can be reached 24/7 at 757-444-1640.

TEMPORARY QUARTERS

Navy Gateway Inns & Suites at Naval Station Norfolk is located at 1353 Gilbert St. Standard and suite accommodations are available, as well as pet-friendly rooms. Amenities include flat-screen TVs with cable, free Wi-Fi, coffee makers, microwaves, hair dryers and wake-up service. The inn also features free laundry facilities and NMCI computer access.
