Newcomers and Visitors Welcome Center

The 22,000-square-foot Gen. John J. Pershing Community Welcome Center, located in Building 3443 in the northeast section of the Arsenal near Gate 10, is the “front door” to Redstone Arsenal for the arrival of transferring Soldiers, civilian and contractor employees, and their families, as well as a place for Soldier, civilian and contractor employees, retirees and veterans, and their families to come for family and social services.

The Welcome Center is the home of several entities falling under Redstone’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation. The largest of these is Army Community Service, which manages the following programs: Army Emergency Relief, Army Family Action Plan, Financial Readiness, Survivor Outreach Services, SHARP/Victim Advocacy (SHARP stands for Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention) and many more. In addition, the following Redstone Family and MWR services are located at the Welcome Center: Membership Services, Leisure Travel; ITR Office and Child, Youth and School Services to include its Parent Central Services and School Liaison Office.

The Welcome Center also offers meeting space. Its Java Café is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee or to grab a quick bite to eat. The Java Café phone number is (256) 842-1819.

The Welcome Center is located across the street from the One Stop by the Pershing Missile Historical Park.
