The T-6A Texan II is a single-engine, two-seat primary training aircraft used for Undergradu- ate Pilot Training. It is used to train students in the fundamentals of aircraft handling, instrument, formation and night flying. ENJJPT began replacing the venerable T-37 Tweet in early 2008 with the T-6A as the introductory trainer. The Texan II has a tandem configuration for the pilots, allowing for an easier transition to the T-38 advanced jet trainer. The aircraft is fully aerobatic and features a pres- surized cockpit with an anti-G system, ejection seat and an advanced avionics package with sunlight-readable liquid crystal displays.

The T-38C Talon is a twin-engine, high altitude, supersonic jet trainer. It is used in a variety of roles because of its design, economy of operations, ease of maintenance, high performance and exceptional safety record. The T-38C has swept-back wings and a streamlined fuselage. The Talon first flew in 1959. More than 1,100 were delivered to the Air Force between 1961 and 1972, when production ended.
