Naval Support Facility Beaufort & Naval Hospital Beaufort

Tri-Command Naval Support Facility Beaufort and Naval Hospital Beaufort

Welcome

Naval Support Facility (NSF) Beaufort and Naval Hospital Beaufort (NHB) is just off Ribaut Road on the Beaufort River, approximately halfway between the Marine Corps Air Station and Parris Island. The naval command consists of the naval hospital, a naval support facility and two branch health clinics, one at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, and the other at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

Located on the grounds of the Naval Support Facility are 53 family housing units, two bachelor enlisted quarters able to accommodate 190 residents, a Navy Exchange retail store, vending machines, a gas station and a mini-mart. This command also has a Public Works facility. Recreational facilities include softball fields, a swimming pool, lighted tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor fitness court, a fishing pier, a children’s playground and a picnic area with sheltered barbecue sites.

NHB administers TRICARE, the Department of Defense’s managed health care program for active-duty members, military families and retirees. One of the key features of TRICARE is TRICARE Prime, the HMO-style plan that allows prime enrollees the advantage of having all their health care needs coordinated by a team of professional health care providers 24 hours a day at NHB.

NHB provides outpatient care to TRICARE Prime-enrolled beneficiaries by appointment and, in most cases, TRICARE for Life and TRICARE Standard patients as well. To enroll or for more information on the TRICARE Program call 800-444-5445 or visit TRICARE Online at www.tricareonline.com.
