Veterinary Services

The veterinary clinic is in Building 517A at the end of Alaska Boulevard, on Parris Island. Limited outpatient services including physical examinations, vaccinations, dewormings and treatment of infectious diseases are offered by appointment only. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Scheduled after-hours walk-in clinics will be announced periodically.

All pets must be registered within seven days of assignment to base housing. Registration requires proof of rabies vaccination within the previous 12 months. If your animal’s rabies vaccination is more than 12 months old, an appointment can be made to update its vaccine. Dogs also require proof of heartworm preventive medication use. Rules on care and supervision of pets are contained in Air Station Order 10510.1A as well as Depot Order 5510.13C and must be strictly adhered to.
