For Veterans
Veterans in Orange County are served within Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 — the New York/New Jersey VA Health Care Network, with the nearest major medical center in Wappingers Falls, less than an hour from West Point. VISN 2 serves more than 500,000 veterans each year. There are six medical centers and nearly 60 community-based outpatient clinics in 76 counties in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The closest community-based outpatient clinic is in Goshen.

The VA Hudson Valley Health Care System includes the Montrose Campus and the Castle Point Campus and several community-based clinics. Dedicated to providing a broad range of services to the veterans of the Hudson Valley, the campuses offer medical, surgical, psychiatric and substance abuse treatment and extended care. Specialty programs include community care, post-traumatic stress disorder help, a Respite Care Program, sexual-trauma counseling, supportive housing, women’s health, optometry, podiatry, spinal cord injury and more.
