Marine Corps Community Services enriches the Marine Corps Air Station New River community by providing goods and services to benefit service members, civilian employees, retirees and family members — we all make up the community of MCCS patrons.
MCCS is staffed with community members, each contributing their personal best to make your tour at this air station a memorable one. For a complete list of our programs and services, including updated facility phone numbers and hours of operation, go online to www.mccsnr.com or the MCCS New River Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MCCSNewRiver.
Our marina offers dry storage, boat slips, watercraft rentals, primitive campsites and so much more. Drive down to the water, take a look around and chat with our knowledgeable staff. We recommended patrons call ahead due to the ever-changing Carolina weather; we have to roll with the tide. The marina also operates under seasonal hours during fall and winter.
Anyone under the age of 26 operating a vessel powered by a 10-horsepower or greater motor on public waterways must complete an approved boater safety course. Vessel operators must be able to show compliance upon request of a law enforcement officer. If you plan to rent one of our watercraft, please plan ahead and make sure you complete the approved safety courses. If you have questions, please contact the marina staff before heading out on the water.
If you intend on fishing during your stay, please make sure you have the appropriate licenses. Fishing licenses may be purchased at the MCX Lejeune Annex and Wal-Mart. A base fishing license authorizes the user to fish only in base ponds and can be purchased on Lejeune at the MCX Annex.
Individuals wishing to hunt aboard the station must possess a North Carolina hunting license and a military hunting license. For information, call 910-449-0108.
The Marine Corps Air Station New River Youth Sports, an affiliate of Camp Lejeune’s Youth Sports, is designed to offer dependent youth of active-duty and retired military, DOD and MCCS employees a variety of opportunities to participate in organized sporting activities. We encourage children to develop enthusiasm for participation, which becomes the foundation for lifelong interests in personal fitness and good health. We emphasize individual and team effort, good sportsmanship and fun. Start your children on the path to success via our Youth Sports program.

Whether it be for lap swim or just recreational swim, you are sure to have a good time at this pool during the summer months.
As a zero-depth-entry pool, this pool is geared more toward families with small children. The pool has a max depth of 5 feet 5 inches. The family pool is a plaster pool; water shoes are highly encouraged. Young children are required to wear swim pants and/or rubber pants.
