FROM DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Exit the airport from the south exit. Take ramp onto 183 West toward Fort Worth then go 10.7 miles. Continue onto Interstate 820 South for 0.7 miles. Take the left fork onto 121 South toward downtown Fort Worth; go 7.1 miles. Take the Interstate 35 West (south) left exit toward Waco: go 0.7 mile. Take exit 51 onto Interstate 30 West toward Abilene then go 7.6 miles. Take exit 7B TX-341-Spur TX-183 West and go 0.4 mile. Continue on Alta Mere Drive: go 1.7 miles. Bear right immediately after the Quick Trip (QT) gas station and continue on Pumphrey Drive toward the Main Gate.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM INTERSTATE 30 EAST AND WEST
Take exit 7B off Interstate 30 onto Route 183N. Follow 183N for about 2 miles. Follow the NAS JRB sign around the circle to the main gate after passing through the intersection of 183 and Roaring Springs Road. There is a QT gas station on the corner of this intersection.
FROM INTERSTATE 20 EAST AND WEST
Take Exit 431 onto Route 183W. Follow 183 for 7 miles. Follow the NAS JRB sign around the circle to the main gate after passing through the intersection of 183 and Roaring Springs Road. There is a QT gas station on the corner of this intersection.
Visitors without a DoD ID card are required to stop at the Visitor Control Center before entering the installation. The VCC is directly to the right of the Main Gate on Pumphrey Drive.
NAS Fort Worth JRB is made up of approximately 40 separate commands. Please contact the gaining command to inquire about their sponsorship and indoctrination program as each service’s policy may be different and may be subject to change without notice. First Termers and those flying into Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport should make arrangements to meet a sponsor at the airport or request information on alternative modes of travel to the base.
All new arrivals to the base should report to their unit of assignment for new arrival check-in instructions. If unsure where to check-in for the gaining command and arriving during normal working hours, report to the Quarterdeck in Building 1510 Chennault Ave., 817-782-7152. After hours, contact the Command Duty Officer at 817-825-4079.
Service members on Official PCS Orders to NAS Fort Worth JRB receive priority for temporary housing accommodations. Please contact Navy Gateway Inns & Suites to make lodging reservations prior to arrival. The reservations number is 817-782-5483 or DSN 312-739-5483. Military members checking aboard during normal working hours need to report to the gaining Command’s Administration Office. If checking aboard after normal working hours, contact the gaining Command’s Duty Officer or the NAS Fort Worth JRB Command Duty Officer at 817-825-4079.
Military members who get married before or during a PCS must inform the gaining command to ensure new spouses are sponsored and authorized concurrent travel.
The base operates on a Monday through Friday schedule. During drill weekends, Reservists receive priority for billeting onboard NAS Fort Worth. Billeting is usually more available during the week on a Space-A basis. Military members who have received PCS orders and are relocating with their family can make a reservation for temporary lodging at the Navy Gateway Inn & Suites Office by calling 817-782-5483, DSN 312-739-5483, or 1-800-NAVY-INN. NAS Fort Worth JRB also has a Navy Lodge on board. To check on room availability or make a reservation, call 817-569-1700.
CELL PHONE USE
Cell phone use by the driver of a moving motor vehicle is prohibited on all Department of Defense installations, unless the cell phone is used with a hands-free device.
