Navy Youth Center

Last Updated :

The Youth Program provides programs that effectively contribute to the morale and well being of youth in grades Kindergarten through twelfth. The program focuses on assisting children in learning to make appropriate decisions about their own behavior. It also helps youngsters overcome the stress and trauma associated with relocating and adjusting to new friends and peer groups. Each activity has been designed to enhance a child’s existing skills, promote physical fitness, encourage creativity, cultivate new interest areas and develop lifelong recreation skills.

The School-Age Care Program consists of Before and After School Programs, Play Days, and Summer Day Camp. Indoor activities include group games, board games, figurine and doll play, puzzles, play houses, foosball, video games, arts and crafts, computer play, and lip-synch. Outdoor play activities include playground time, basketball, soccer, hikes, kick ball, parachute play and more.

The Youth Center at 936 Savitz Drive also offers special events: "Kids’ Night Out," Movie Nights, ballet/jazz/tap classes, karate classes, roller skating and other recreational activities.
