Story by PO2 Kris Lindstrom on 06/18/2019Hospital Corpsmen (HM) from Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) held their 2nd annual Corpsmen Challenge on June 14. The challenge is a daunting yet friendly competition between Sailors at NMCP as part of the celebration of the 121st birthday of the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps. The event included a 2-mile litter run with a mannequin, a 50-yard tire flip, a swimming event, patient transit to landing zone event and an obstacle course. The winners of the Corpsmen Challenge were announced at the command picnic, which directly followed the Corpsman Challenge.
