In addition to the many activities that are offered year round, there are a number of seasonal activities that take full advantage of our climate and waterfront location.
The Paradise Point golf course is open to the general public and offers lessons for all skill levels, two golf courses, two driving ranges and three putting greens. To reserve a tee time, reservations must be made seven days in advance, over the telephone or in person.
The McIntyre-Parks recreational shooting complex offers eight lanes available for archery with distances of 10 to 50 yards, as well as seven skeet fields with two trap overlaps with a five stand overlay.
MCCS also offers a number of outdoor adventures, including evening and moonlight kayak tours, stand up paddle boarding, canoe and camping trips for families. Custom packages are also available for entire units.
The three Marinas on MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River also offer normal marina services, as well as equipment and boats available for rental.
In addition to the pools that are open year round, the three outdoor pools are now open as well. The pools offer swim lessons, American Red Cross training, pool parties, group exercises, as well as free swim times. All pools except the Wallace Creek Fitness center offer recreational swimming.
If the pools aren't enough to satisfy your summer water needs, Onslow Beach also offers a number of options for you. The beach has volleyball courts, basketball courts and guarded swimming areas from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are also a number of gazebos and lodging that can be reserved with the Onslow Beach reservation office.
No matter where your interests may lie, MCCS has something for everyone. For more information regarding these activities you can visit www.mccslejeune-newriver.com.
