The U.S. Army Dental Laboratory was established at Fort Gordon on April 20, 1979. The dental lab, near Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Building 322, is the only large production dental laboratory in the Army. The mission of the laboratory is to plan, conduct, supervise and perform dental prosthetic and orthodontic laboratory services for oral health organizations in the federal services. In addition to high quality and timely laboratory services, the dental lab also provides training and educational programs for dental officers and laboratory technicians.
