Soldiers with the 300th Military Police Brigade conducted live-fire training with the M2 .50-caliber machine gun Aug. 21, 2019, at a live-fire range at Fort McCoy, Wis.

The training helps keep military police in the unit proficient on the weapon.

Fort McCoy has 31 live-fire ranges that are used year-round by service members from all branches of the military.

Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.

The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
