This park is aptly named because there are thrills and excitement here for all ages. Hit the Super Speedway for racetrack fun, or enjoy mini golf, batting cages, laser tag, paddleboats, the Space Coast’s largest arcade or the new Sky Trail ropes course.

Experience the Space Coast with an airboat, pontoon or paddleboat tour. See wildlife up close, including ospreys, herons, brown pelicans, dolphins, manatees and even alligators! Tours of the St. Johns River, the Indian and Banana River lagoons, and Cocoa Beach’s Thousand Islands are available. Specialty tours include holiday lights tours, rocket launch tours and bioluminescence tours, where you can watch shimmering plankton light up the summer waters of the Banana River Lagoon. Whether you’re looking for a 30-minute jaunt into Florida’s Outback or a leisurely sunset cruise, you’re sure to see a new side of the Space Coast.

The Brevard Historical Commission documents, preserves and promotes awareness of Brevard County history. The county has numerous historical landmarks, including the 1891 Pritchard House, the Old Haulover Canal and the 1840s Cape Canaveral Lighthouse.

Brevard Zoo

The Brevard Zoo is home to jaguars, giant anteaters, monkeys, rhinos, cheetahs and more. You can feed a giraffe, take a kayak adventure or ride the train around Lemur Island. The zoo is also home to Treetop Trek Aerial Adventures, a new outdoor activity for those not afraid to reach for the sky. Other courses include tightropes, crab walks, bridges and zip lines.

The services’ 212-acre recreational complex includes a 27-hole championship golf course, Olympic-size pool, tennis courts and a team sports complex. The golf course has a full-service pro shop, and lessons in golf, tennis and swimming are offered. A community center, pavilion and restaurant also are available.

There are numerous golf courses in and around Brevard County. Brevard County manages three golf courses: Spessard Holland, the Habitat and the Savannahs. For a full listing of golf courses along the Space Coast, go to www.visitspacecoast.com/things-to-do/sports/golf.

Spessard Holland Golf Course, at 2374 Oak St. in Melbourne Beach, is an 18-hole, par-67 course designed by Arnold Palmer Enterprises. The 5,210-yard course is an oasis between the ocean and the Indian River, featuring challenging seaside golfing. The course can be reached at 321-952-4529.

The Habitat Golf Course, at 3591 Fairgreen St. in Grant-Valkaria, is an 18-hole, par-72, 6,836-yard championship golf course with mounded fairways and water features in a varying terrain of wetlands and pine forests that is a haven for wildlife. The course can be reached at 321-952-6312.

The Savannahs, at 3915 Savannahs Trail on Merritt Island, is a challenging 18-hole, par-72 course, 6,507 yards long with a plantation-style clubhouse, pro shop and junior golf program. The course can be reached at 321-455-1375.

The Dinosaur Store

The Dinosaur Store contains one of the most elaborate collections of fossils in the world. Museum-quality fossils include dinosaur eggs, teeth and claws; dinosaur replicas, meteorite jewelry and other educational products and toys are also available. The three-story building is home as well to the Adventure Zone, with its arcade games, science center activities and live animals. The Adventure Zone is where you can pan for minerals and fossils at a working sluice, see live alligators and reptiles in the Reptiles Run and take a wild ride on the Nile River. A Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures is in the works as well.

The planetarium’s star theater presents live tours of the night sky and laser shows, and the Discovery Movie Theater has a giant movie screen for science documentaries. The building also houses a roof-top observatory that is open to the public on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Science Quest Exhibit Hall’s numerous exhibits include a Foucault pendulum, a meteorite, a Van de Graaff generator and more. Jungle Adventures

Jungle Adventures is home to rare Florida panthers, black bears, wolves, deer, tropical birds and alligators. Here you can take a jungle cruise, watch wildlife shows, explore a replica Native American village and have hands-on experiences with baby alligators and other animals. Don’t miss the Gator Jamboree Feeding, when park guides hand-feed 8- to 15-foot alligators.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex includes tours of the Space Center, IMAX films and exhibits that include the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame and interactive spaceflight simulators. Special programs include Fly with an Astronaut, Lunch with an Astronaut and Astronaut Encounter, where you can learn firsthand about space travel from veteran astronauts. Guided tours are available. Hours vary by season, so visit the center’s website for current information.

On the Edge Rock Climbing

On the Edge Rock Climbing is an indoor gym for climbers of all skill levels. The rock climbing facility has more than 10,000 square feet of climbing area, as well as a yoga and party room, events, competitions and a fully stocked pro shop. Quality routes set by nationally certified route-setters, great music and a new tow rope and lead climbing wall make the facility a hit with all ages.

Palm Bay Aquatic Center

The Palm Bay Aquatic Center is on the Palm Bay Campus of Brevard Community College. The center has a zero-depth entry pool, a 150-foot slide, eight lap lanes and a diving well with two diving boards. The center’s programs include swim lessons, exercise classes and lifeguard training. Hours vary depending on the season and holidays.

The Space Coast is rich in aquatic recreational activities. Access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian River Lagoon and the Intercoastal Waterway opens up a boater’s paradise, and fisherman will find plenty of places to cast a line. Jet Ski and WaveRunners will satisfy your need for speed while parasailing trips offer a high-flying view of the coast. If you’re looking to explore at your own pace, try kayaking the Indian River Lagoon. Other kayaking adventures include manatee encounters, moonlight and bioluminescent tours and more. The coast also has surfing and body boarding and there are opportunities to explore aquatic life.
