The Sacramento Ballet targets communities through its touring program, traveling throughout the greater Sacramento Valley and as far as Hawaii, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia. In 2007, the company presented their first international tour to the People’s Republic of China performing in Shanghai and Beijing. Through extensive education and outreach programs, the ballet reaches approximately 40,000 participants each season. Performances are held at the Community Center Theater, the Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts and the Cunningham-Binda Stage at Sacramento Ballet, all in Sacramento.

Solano County Symphony

The Solano County Symphony is the seventh-oldest symphony in California and traces its roots to the early days of the Great Depression when a small group of community leaders determined that local musicians needed a showcase for their talents and the community would be enriched by attending live performances of timeless music. Today, the symphony performs a subscription series and presents a popular series of entertaining and educational mini concerts in Solano County elementary schools. Main performances are held at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre and the Downtown Theatre Fairfield.

The 505-seat Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre has hosted a variety of activities since its grand opening in April 1993, including popular headlining entertainers like Smokey Robinson and Boyz II Men, symphony and chamber music, dance (ballet, modern, jazz and children’s productions), comedy and live theater.

Vallejo Jazz Society

The Vallejo Jazz Society was founded in fall 2010 by musicians and nonmusicians who share a passion for jazz and are committed to making it available in the community. The Vallejo Jazz Society performs at least eight times a year, culminating in a holiday concert. The society also presents jazz performances and jazz clinics in local schools.
