Tomorrow is the big day. Your PCS move. No big deal. You've prepared for this for the past three months, and you feel good. We want your move to be a success as much as you do, so follow these tips to win on a high note. Tips for the night before. Use the last night in your old home to double-check closets, drawers, shelves, the attic, and the garage. Prepare snacks for moving day. Take out cash from the ATM. Have your first-day box and overnight bag ready. Go to sleep early. Tips for the day of. Moving day is here. Time to make the best use of this busy day. Wake up early and eat a healthy breakfast. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, not sandals. Note the condition of your items before they're moved. Make sure nothing is left behind. Check the house before releasing the movers. Watch loading and unloading, and examine all items carefully before signing receipt. If the military is handling your move, obtain a copy of the GBL, the DD-619, Iveconus, and the household goods inventory from the movers before leaving. Tips for traveling with kids. Moving day is tough enough. It's even harder with children. Try making the trip an adventure for the whole family with fun car games, travel apps, and movies to keep everyone entertained. My favorite game is 20 questions. Arrival and settling in tips. You've arrived. What's next? Unpacking time. Moving is fun, isn't it? Start by first unpacking the essentials, items you need to keep your home running smoothly. Next, move to your kitchen and then the bathrooms. If they're old enough, have your kids unpack their own boxes. Settling into your new community takes time and effort, but it's so worth it. Get involved with clubs and groups, attend events, and connect with other families to make your new station feel like home. Thanks for watching.
