How Military Personnel Exemplify the Qualities of National Honesty DayWhat Is the Army PaYS Program?
PaYS stands for “The Partnership for Youth Success.” To ensure this program accomplishes its goals and helps the maximum number of service members, the U.S. Army has partnered with nearly 1,000 businesses and organizations across the nation. Companies in both the private and public sectors work together with the Army to help young military members build a viable future after their service in the Armed Forces is complete. The Army Partnership for Youth Success began in 2000 and started as a recruiting incentive for Regular Army enlisted Soldiers. Within two years, the program was extended to include members of the Army Reserve. Eventually, it would expand even more, adding in the ROTC and those in Officer Candidate School, Warrant Officer Flight Training, and the Army National Guard. How Does PaYS Work?
PaYS is an incredible program that provides Soldiers and other Army members a faster track to normal life after service. PaYS partners sign an agreement with the U.S. Army to provide interviews and potential employment to Soldiers who are about to separate from the military. Eligible ROTC members can visit the PaYS Program Cadet Portal to sign up. Eligible Soldiers can sign up through the PaYS Information Exchange (PIX). From the portal, service members select five PaYS partners that they may be interested in working with after service. Soldiers can interview for potential employment opportunities with these selected partners. In fact, when service members finish their first term of service or training, they are guaranteed an interview with the companies they select. They will then be placed in a Military Occupational Specialty that matches a civilian job aligning with their chosen company.Army PaYS Program Partner List
