COMMUNITY HOUSING FOR FAMILIES

The Naval Support Activity (NSA) Mechanicsburg coordinates and provides common base support services to Fleet units, tenant activities, hosted commands and other Naval activities as directed by Commander, Navy Region, Mid-Atlantic at three distinct sites.

The Mechanicsburg site, located in central Pennsylvania (Hampden Township) at the eastern boundary of Mechanicsburg, has over 150 buildings with 8.9 million square feet of floor space.  The various land uses at NSA fall into four functional areas:  administrative, housing and community facilities, warehousing and open storage.  Thirty-eight tenant commands are located on the 806-acre complex.

Community Housing

Our Housing Service Center HSC skilled staff assists in finding off-base housing within the surrounding community. The HSC has available listings for rental homes in the area. We also provide support in ensuring you and your Military family has the appropriate lease to protect your interests and meets your requirements.  NSA Mechanicsburg Housing works with the surrounding community to assist unaccompanied and  accompanied military personnel and their families regarding the pros and cons of off-base living. The HSC should be your first stop shop for all of housing resources.
