At Ellsworth AFB, unaccompanied housing is provided for unaccompanied Airmen who are in the ranks of E-1 to E-3 and E-4 with less than 3 years of service. Everyone is provided with a private room to sleep in, all of the necessary furnishings, bed linens, and all of the supplies one might require for comfortable living. Additionally, the unaccompanied housing at Ellsworth AFB consists of six 125-room dormitories. Unaccompanied Airmen in the rank of E-4 with greater than 3 or more years of service will move into housing in the local community. Amenities for unaccompanied Airmen include a full kitchen, a coffee bar, free Wi-Fi, computer workstations, movie screen with a large selection of films, three flat screen televisions, video game systems, and more. The Military Housing Office will be more than happy to assist you as you prepare for your new adventure in the community of Ellsworth AFB. The team is ready and willing to help you familiarize yourself with the housing options and services available to you. When you first arrive at Ellsworth AFB, you will need to visit the Military Housing Office and they will provide you with all of the necessary information and guidance you require before entering into any written lease or rental/sales contract for housing. Military family housing at Ellsworth AFB is managed by Balfour Beatty Communities (BBC). There are three neighborhoods on the base with a large variety of floor plans. These three different neighborhoods offer a large variety of amenities that will help you adjust and settle into your new life at Ellsworth AFB. The housing amenities include ample closets and storage, ceiling fans, central heating and air condition, exterior storage, fenced-in backyard, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, garage, master suite, open floor plan, patio, porch, utilities included, washer and dryer connection. The community amenities include professional on-site management and maintenance, basketball court, community center with outdoor grill and patio, curbside trash and recycling pick-up, dog park, lawn care services, pet friendly, playgrounds and tot lots, activities and events, and sand volleyball court. Ellsworth AFB is pet friendly and does allow certain pets, including large breed dogs, but there is a limit of two pets per home. Although Ellsworth AFB is pet friendly, certain dog breeds are not permitted—if you’re wondering whether or not your dog breed is permitted, the team at Ellsworth AFB is available to answer any questions you might have. The features in these homes include a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a master suite, an outdoor lounge, an entertainment space, and a whole lot more.3. Rushmore Heights
