Virginia School Enrollment
In Virginia, children must be at least 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 of the school year to enter kindergarten. School enrollment typically requires a birth certificate, proof of residence, a school entrance health form, an expulsion statement (disclosing if the student has previously been expelled under certain circumstances from another school), and proof of required immunizations.
