Welcome to Naval Air Station Fallon! You’ll be living in Fallon, Nevada, the county seat of Churchill County and about 70 miles east of Carson City, the state capital. Figuring out your child’s educational needs is one of the biggest priorities during any move. : 1 (775) 426-3808 The Child Development Center offers Monday through Friday care from 6:00am-7:00pm and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The CDC is available for children aged six weeks to five years. The programs are developed to meet the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of children. Care is offered in full day, hourly, or drop in options; fees are determined by family income. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided so if your child must stay a bit longer, you can take comfort knowing they are well fed. Be sure to contact the CDC for availability as there could be a waitlist. Before and after school care is also available for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as during non-school days and summer vacation. This provides many opportunities to engage in a diverse set of activities such as sports, arts, and occasional field trips to local bowling alleys or educational tours. A Teen Center, located at Building 980, is available to those ages 13-18. Teens have access to a computer lab, game room, art room, and various other amenities.
