Unaccompanied Housing (UH) is provided for unaccompanied airmen and soldiers in the ranks of E-1 to E-3 and some E-4s. Each member is provided with linens at check-in. Rooms house one to two personnel, depending on pay grade and square footage. All barracks housing is equipped with lounges with televisions, washers and dryers, and vending machines. All installations in the area also have access to recreational, fitness, dining, religious, educational, and other amenities that are largely located within walking distance of UH. The San Diego Naval Housing Welcome Center (HWC) should be your first point of contact when you get to NAS North Island. Contact the HWC as soon as you know you are moving. The San Diego Naval Housing Welcome Center serves all personnel in the San Diego area. The HWC provides a number of services, including assisting with temporary lodging, giving an overview of community resources and amenities, and providing maps, school information, and other community service information. Liberty Military Housing at NAS North Island
On-base NAS North Island housing is privatized through Liberty Military Housing. Liberty is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and managing the community. Click here to browse their floor plans at NAS North Island, each of which offers its own amenities. Homes are two-bedroom affairs and come in one of two styles, with floor plans ranging from 1,083 square feet to 1,092 square feet. All floor plans feature one bath.
