- A valid photo ID of the student's parent or guardian.

- The student's immunizations records.
- A tuberculosis clearance from the student's health provider or a Hawaiian Department of Health clinic.
- A physical examination of the student (completed within one year).

Public Schools on Oahu
There are four public school districts on the island of Oahu: Honolulu, Central, Windward, and Leeward. Typically, the district your child will attend depends on where you reside. USCG Honolulu has very little government housing available for Coast Guard members. However, Public Private Venture "military housing" is available through Army, Navy, and Air Force PPV housing agencies. Members can also choose to rent or purchase housing based on the local economy. Students may also request a geographic exception if they wish to attend a school outside of their zoned district. Charter schools in Hawaii are tuition-free public schools of choice that are open to all. Charter schools in Hawaii serve students in pre-K through 12th grade.
