PPV ON-BASE HOUSING

As mentioned above, NSA Panama City has transitioned from government owned housing to On-base, privatized housing with Balfour Beatty Communities for both family housing and single service member housing. Eligibility

Assignment is based upon your needs and availability. Once a servicemember's orders have been received, he/she may apply for housing and be placed on the wait list once they detach. Single servicemembers who have at least 6 months on their orders, and who are authorized to reside outside of the barracks, will be authorized to live/rent in PPV housing on base. Availability

There are 49 military family and single-servicemember housing units on board NSA Panama City, including 15 officer/E7 units and 34 enlisted units.

4 bedroom units include:
-Officer / E7 = (5) units
-Enlisted = (4) units

3 bedroom units include:
-Officer / E7 = (10) units
-Enlisted = (26) units

2 bedroom units include:
-Enlisted = (4) units

Housing wait periods vary, please visit the Balfour Beatty Communities website for Naval Support Activity Panama City. Enlisted personnel can expect a minimum waiting period of 0 to 6 months. These waiting periods vary, and therefore, the servicemember is encouraged to contact the Housing Service Center well in advance. The office can be reached Mon - Fri, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Application Process

If military families desire on-Station housing which is now privatized through Balfour Beatty, the military member must provide the Housing Welcome Center with a completed Application for Military Family Housing (DD Form 1746), one copy of their Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders and a current copy of their Dependency Application/Record of Emergency Data (NAVPERS 1070) or DEERS Form.

Completed application packages received after being checking into the command 30 days or more will be effective the date the package is received in the Housing Welcome Center.

Once the application is processed, the Housing Office will inform Balfour Beatty Communities that the application has been submitted.

Single Service Member Housing

The Single Service Member should contact the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites for lodging accommodations at 850-588-0753, DSN 312-436-4217, or online. To speak to the Unaccompanied Housing Department call 850-230-7299 Mon - Fri from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. For more information contact Balfour Beatty Communities at 850-452-4412, Mon – Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
