Breaking Down the 7 Best Restaurants In Coronado

There are several Coronado restaurants that can satisfy your craving, provide a boost for lunch, create an atmosphere for date night, and everything in between. Finding the right restaurants in Coronado may feel a bit overwhelming, but we’ve got you covered. Whether you’re just looking for a bite or are the ultimate foodie, here are the seven best restaurants in Coronado:

1. Jolie

The wine is flowing, the dishes are inspired, and it’s the perfect place for date night without all the pretentiousness. If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants on Coronado Island, you can’t miss Jolie.

Depending on your mood, you can get the best of surf, turf, or go for both. The King Salmon Crudo is a fresh way to start while the Duck Confit provides an elevated approach to comfort food. You’ll find that the menu changes by season, ensuring you get the freshest bites possible.

2. Central Liquor

Restaurants in Coronado, CA, don’t get much more unique than Central Liquor. Don’t let the name fool you, yes, it is a liquor store, but if you think booze is the only thing gathering crowds, you’re in for a treat. The deli is putting out some of the freshest sandwiches and delicious cold brew you can find on the island. Elevated but not overpriced, this is the perfect stop for lunch.

3. The Henry

Sometimes you need to find a cafe. Other times, the perfect brunch spot is in order. Then again, you may just need a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal with friends. At The Henry, you can check off all of those boxes.

Hospitality is king at The Henry where craft cocktails, delicious creations from baristas, and a New American-inspired menu clearly drawing inspiration from Europe and Asia deliver an experience that is both unique and familiar at the same time.

4. Clayton’s Bakery & Bistro

If The Henry is a more modern take on a cafe, Clayton’s Bakery & Bistro is a more traditional take on the modern cafe. Let me explain. There are burgers and sandwiches that are sure to delight, but if you’re looking for French-inspired breakfast dishes, people passionate about pastries, delicious soups, and satisfying salads, this is the place for you.

5. Bluewater Grill

You’ll find a well-rounded menu at the Bluewater Grill; however, seafood is the star. Yes, there is steak, pasta, chicken, and more, but the fresh seafood dishes are the bites you’re looking for. With that being said, let’s focus a bit more on the looking aspect because it’s important.

Because it’s located on Glorietta Bay in the historic Hotel Del Coronado Boathouse, finding a better view is nearly impossible. Coronado hotel restaurants don’t get better than this!

6. Miguel's Cocina

Laid-back vibes, addicting tacos, and margaritas. If this sounds like your idea of paradise, welcome to Miguel's Cocina. Few, if any, restaurants on Coronado Island can balance the casual yet elevated take on Mexican/SoCal flavors you’ll find at Miguel’s Cocina. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for lunch, dinner, or a celebration, this is the place to be.

7. Lobster West

You can get classic soups, salads, and treats from the Northeast, but let’s be honest. You don’t go to a place called Lobster West without focusing on the star of the show. There are many different lobster rolls available, and each is a mouthwatering reminder that sometimes all you need are a few fresh ingredients to make something truly magical.

Coronado Restaurants Bursting With Flavor

No matter how long you’re stationed, you’ll want to explore Coronado restaurants during your time. The island is a critical part of defending our nation; however, it’s also a charming, quaint community that knows how to throw down in the kitchen. A variety of cuisines are right in the heart of your community, take advantage before it's all MREs overseas.
