If you want to take part in an on-base activity, the first step will be knowing where to go. Fort McCoy hunting maps, fishing maps, and other recreational maps are easily accessible via the iSportsman Fort McCoy portal. Just click “Maps” on the navigation bar!
This will take you to a page with lots of stuff. To start, there are six different map types in PDF form:
- Small Game/Archery/Turkey
- Cantonment Archery
- Non-hunting/non-fishing activities
You can print these maps to take with you as you head out on your next day of recreation.
There’s also a link that will take you to area statuses for each recreational spot on base, helping you avoid the awkward instance of arriving somewhere just to be told it’s closed or full. The area status, linked under “Game Line Area Status,” offers a seven-day outlook for what will be open and closed throughout the next week.
