All single Soldiers must first report to the Cribbins Soldier Service Center for inprocessing on Fort Rucker. Soldiers will be assigned temporary barracks for the duration of inprocessing requirements. Barracks are distributed once a soldier is assigned to a unit. Single Soldiers in the rank of private (E-1) to sergeant (E-5) are eligible to stay in the barracks. Some married soldiers may be eligible to stay in barracks under certain circumstances. Residents in Fort Rucker Family Homes can enjoy the convenience of on-site management and maintenance, business centers, and a calendar full of resident activities and events. School-age children living in Fort Rucker Family Homes can enroll and attend the on-post Department of Defense elementary school. Middle school and high school students living on post will enroll in Daleville City Schools.
