Marine Corps Base Hawaii Housing

Marine Corps Base Hawaii housing is privatized and managed by Ohana Military Community (OMC). There are 13 distinct communities near the base featuring a variety of floor plans. Across the 2500 family homes ranging from new, renovated, or historic, most military families are sure to find something that fits their needs. OMC outfits their homes with an array of amenities including 24-hour emergency maintenance, a covered garage, major appliances (such as a washer, dryer, fridge, stove, and dishwasher), and central air conditioning. One of the great things about living in Hawaii is you’ll never need central heating! Cable and high speed internet service is available but not provided. A maximum of two pets total (dogs and cats) are permitted in each home but check with your specific community to inquire about any potential breed restrictions. The 13 OMC communities are spread out on the island in three locations: Aiea, Pearl City, and Kailua. All locations provide access to great schools, shopping, and entertainment. Depending on the community you reside in, MCBH and other base amenities shouldn’t be much more than 30 minutes away. Oahu is large relative to the other Hawaiian islands – it’s the third largest in area, in fact – but to drive around the entire island is roughly 100 miles. Anything you might need, be it retail, entertainment, or business, is never too far.

MCBH Housing Amenities

The specific community amenities on the OMC properties will vary, but some of the potential highlights include playgrounds, basketball courts, splash pads, and dog parks. There are resident activities throughout the year and if you want to host an event, community rooms are available at no cost. Some of these communities may have special offers on rent when you sign your lease by a specific date. They offer lease payments in arrears structure, meaning there’s no up-front costs or security deposit.
