In the 1940s, Army Fighter Pilots arrived at the Zephyrhills Army Airfield before they went to war. There were barracks on the field and an infirmary. The barracks were eventually demolished. However, the infirmary was turned into the Zephyrhills Museum of Military History. The museum pays tribute to conflicts over the years. It preserves memories of conflicts from WWI to the Vietnam War and more.
