These Laurel Bay Schools, as they are known, include Charles F. Bolden Elementary/Middle School and Middleton Stuart Elliott Elementary School. Bolden Elementary/Middle School serves nearly 190 students in grades 3-8. Elliott Elementary School serves approximately 225 students in pre-K through second grade. There are no DoDEA high schools in the area, so high school students attend Beaufort County public high schools. The Beaufort County School District serves more than 22,000 students. The district is a proud Military Purple Star District and strives to remove any barriers that inhibit military students in their success. Military family life counselors that serve the district are available to provide short-term, nonmedical counseling to military children, parents, faculty, and staff. The district also has a school choice program, which allows students to pursue customized programs that support their talents and interests. Qualifying students can attend schools outside their regular attendance zones that offer dual-language programs, schools that focus on the visual or performing arts, or schools that explore medical and technology fields.
