Welcome to Marine Corps Air Station New River, located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In 2014, Forbes ranked Jacksonville as the fifth-fastest growing small city in the United States. This is largely attributed to the military presence, as Jacksonville is also home to nearby Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, the largest Marine base on the east coast. Jacksonville is adjacent to the Crystal Coast, an 85-mile stretch of coastline that is a popular tourist destination in the summer. Barracks/Single Service Member Housing

The barracks provide a safe, secure environment for all residents and are in close proximity to work. Many installations offer resident advisor (RA) positions to more senior service members. RAs provide leadership and assistance for all barrack residents. MCAS New River on-base housing is privatized and managed by two companies: Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC) and Lincoln Military Housing. These two Public-Private Venture (PPV) partners service 5200 units combined between MCAS New River and MCB Camp Lejeune. In these communities, you’ll move into either newly constructed or recently renovated homes. All homes feature central heating and air conditioning, hook-ups for washers and dryers, a range, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Cable and internet service are available but not provided by the communities. All military personnel accompanied by dependents and permanently assigned to MCAS New River are eligible for family housing and may apply for all housing for which their rank is eligible. Submit on-base housing applications to the Family Housing Office. The PPVs offer many unique neighborhoods with a variety of floor plans that meet the needs of most families. There are seven DoDEA schools on MCB Camp Lejeune/MCAS New River, so K-12 schools are within a short walk or drive of all neighborhoods. All communities are also near the commissary and MCX. The communities are near plenty of beaches, parks, and shopping. For the golf fans, Paradise Point Golf Course is a short walk or drive away. Amenities vary at each neighborhood but pets are welcome in each community. Contact the PPVs for specific breed restrictions. Some of these communities may have special offers on rent when you sign your lease by a specific date.
