At Buckley SFB, unaccompanied housing is available to senior Airmen and below enlisted ranks E1 to E3 and E4 with less than three years of service. For unaccompanied Airmen of rank E4 with greater than three years of service, they may find housing in the local community or put in a request to live on-base. All single service members must report to their unit to be assigned barracks space. Any personnel arriving on post after service hours will be assigned temporary living quarters until the next duty day. A private sleeping room, furnishings, bed linens and supplies required for comfortable living are provided to every Airman. The room arrangements themselves will vary from room to room but include one restroom per suite and a shared kitchen. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas, and there are no pets allowed in the barracks. Other amenities include four laundry rooms per building, a TV room in each dorm, pool tables, arcade games, telephones in each day room, barbecue grills, storage lockers and gazebos. The Unaccompanied Housing facilities strive to provide a personal residence that creates a comfortable, functional and well-maintained home with a mission to take pride in the community.

Hunt Military Communities offers homes and duplexes in their neighborhoods with three and four-room floor plans. There are many floorplans and layouts in this well-kept community. Each neighborhood and rental house comes with a set of amenities that will make you feel right at home. Amenities vary depending on which of the neighborhoods you choose at Buckley AFB but include some of the following: attached garage, ceiling fans, covered porch, dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator, washer/dryer hookups, high-speed internet and cable ready, central AC, 24-hour maintenance service and landscaping services. The community itself offers amenities that will provide your family with entertainment year-round. The neighborhoods include parks and playgrounds that are perfect for a family outing right on the base. There are also walking and bike paths, a swimming pool, a community garden and community center. Be sure to keep up to date with the community as there are many free community events hosted throughout the year. Applying here is similar to living in the local community. You will sign a tenant lease agreement, typically for a one-year term. Your lease will include a military clause and a lease termination clause. Rent is paid by authorizing an allotment of your BAH that is paid directly to the property manager. If your family has school-aged children, the housing on base is within the Aurora Public School District. Students from Kindergarten to eighth grade will attend Murphy Creek, and students in ninth through 12th grades will attend Gateway High School. Surrounding the base are also plenty of options for private schooling. Bus services are available for public schools from the base.
