Coast Guard Training Center Cape May in New Jersey is the Coast Guard's sole enlisted recruit training facility — every enlisted Coast Guardsman begins their career there. Established in 1917, it processes approximately 4,000 recruits per year through an eight-week basic training program. The center also conducts various advanced and specialized training courses for the Coast Guard workforce.

Contact your sponsor and the Personnel Office before arriving at TRACEN Cape May. The Personnel Office is located in the Admin Services building. The main installation switchboard is (609) 898-6219. Standard practice is to report to your sponsor during business hours on your first duty day.
