About Vance AFB
One of the most visible family-facing needs at Vance Air Force Base has finally moved into the funded stage. On March 13, 2026, The U.S. Department of Defense announced that Independent School District No. 57 of Garfield County, Enid Public Schools, received a $22 million grant for Eisenhower Elementary School at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The department said the award represents the federal share of a $28.2 million project.
For families already living on base, and for those with freshly cut orders to Vance, this upgrade has a big impact. A long-identified school infrastructure need is no longer just a plan, it’s paid for and ready to go.
