So you’ve just been assigned to Dover Air Force Base. There’s a ton of things for you to do, but if you’re a parent, one of the first things you need to do when relocating to a new area is figure out where your kids are going to go to school and what your options are when it comes to childcare. There are two schools that serve those who live on-base: W. Reily Brown Elementary and Dover Air Force Base Middle School are located on base, while Caesar Rodney High School is off base.

Dover AFB Child Care

Dover Air Force Base offers a Nationally Accredited early childhood program that offers developmental child care to the Dover AFB community. The center offers full day child care for children six weeks to five years (who are not in kindergarten), before and after school care, Full day care during school closures and Full Day Summer Camp for children ages 5 to 12, and hourly care by reservation. Parents will have to register their children. Parents will have to create an account on militarychildcare.com to request childcare. Additionally, School Age Care (SAP) is available through the You Center for children ages 9-12 that have completed kindergarten. Family Child Care is also available.
