Services Provided: Issues licenses and learner’s permits required to operate motor vehicles, I.D. cards to non-drivers who are county residents. Organ donor status is indicated on license. Voter registration applications are available at all locations in conjunction with license/permit issuance. You have 60 days after establishing residence in North Carolina to renew your operator’s license. Everyone is required to take the written and vision tests to get a North Carolina license for the first time. A license may be obtained for a nominal fee from the Driver’s License Division of the Department of Motor Vehicles. No road testing is given after 1630. Fees involved may be paid in cash or check.
