Housing is expensive and often hard to find. An extensive wholehouse renovation/demolition project that has taken a large number of units out of inventory for the foreseeable future. Due to this situation, there may be a wait for some categories of on base housing. This situation is expected to continue for an undetermined length of time. Contact the Housing Office at 301-981-5516/5165 DSN 312-858-5516 for the most current status.
Individuals living off-base reside in 5 states, some 60 counties and 300 communities in the Washington metro area (scattered across the states of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and West Virginia as well as the District of Columbia).
