Exceptional Family Member Program
The Exceptional Family Member Program provides comprehensive support to family members with special needs. EFMP takes an all-inclusive approach to coordinate military and civilian community, educational, medical, housing and personnel services to help soldiers and their families with special needs.
Soldiers with family members who have special needs are required to register for EFMP and keep enrollment information current. This way, family needs will be considered during the OCONUS assignments process.

Family Readiness Groups
The goal of a Family Readiness Group is to establish a network that enables unit members to effectively gather and distribute information, resolve problems and maintain family mutual support. The FRG is a command-sponsored organization of volunteer family members, civilian employees, service members and other individuals associated with your unit. Unit FRGs provide official command information, connect families with needed assistance, and build unit morale and cohesion.
