Just got orders to Keesler Air Force Base? Located along the Gulf shoreline, the area is a playground of coastal beauty, rich history, and genuine hospitality. Start on base with bowling, golf, or beach fun at FAMCAMP, then head to Biloxi, just outside the gates, for more fun like the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum. Because of its shoreline location, seafood is a popular menu item. Many restaurants offer much more. Get seafood or burgers at The Reef, or a mix of everything at McElroy's Harbor House. When the weather isn't too hot, get outside to explore. Pillar Park offers great walking trails, and Pops Ferry Dog Park has plenty of shade for off-leash dog fun. Plenty of local patios are dog-friendly, too. Ready for a day trip? New Orleans and Mobile are just under two hours away, and offer history and vibrant culture. Navarre Beach is two and a half hours away, and features pristine white sand beaches, making it popular among outdoor enthusiasts. All are worth a drive for exploring your new region. Keesler Air Force Base is a great place to call home, and with the beautiful shoreline and sunsets, you won't want to leave. you
