Welcome to Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Port Story, known as the Pearl by the Bay and the Emerald on the Ocean. Established in 2009, this joint installation unites two historic bases that have pioneered amphibious warfare since the early 20th century. Today the base supports up to 15,000 personnel and serves as a premier training hub for Expeditionary Forces and Special Warfare, including the Navy SEALs. If you're just arriving, enter Gate 3 to grab your credentials at the Visitor Control Center. Active duty service members will check in with their Gaining Command before reporting to the Personnel Support Detachment. To help you transition smoothly, the Navy Housing Services Center, Commissary, and Exchange are fully equipped to get you settled. When you're off duty, the on-base recreation is unbeatable. Hit the lanes at Gator Bowling Center, tee off at Eagle Haven Golf Course, or cool off at Gator Water Park, which features a splash pad and seven water slides. Need a break from base? You're just minutes away from the incredible restaurants and entertainment of downtown Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Port Story has so much to offer, from fascinating history to beautiful on-base beaches and more. Welcome aboard!
